New Yorkers Age 30 and Over Are Eligible for COVID-19 Vaccines on April 6th

  • By Kerri Beatty

Governor Cuomo has just announced that all New Yorkers over 30 years old will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine on April 6, 2021.  Those individuals can begin booking appointments beginning at 8 a.m., Tuesday, March 30, 2021.

As a reminder, New York State law requires employers to provide employees with up to four hours of paid time off per injection of the COVID-19 vaccine.  The leave must be provided at the employee’s regular rate of pay and cannot be charged against any other leave to which the employee is entitled, including the recently enacted New York Paid Sick Leave Law.

Should you have any questions regarding this new update or any other employment related inquiries, please contact ALG.
