I-9 Compliance, Immigration and Work Visas

Employers are legally required to verify the identity and employment authorization of every employee they hire by completing Form I-9.  Strict adherence to immigration laws and document review procedures is critical, as failing to maintain compliance can lead to substantial fines and penalties from the federal government.

In this webinar, we will review requirements for I-9s, how to audit I-9 forms of current employees, and provide an overview of work visas.  We will also discuss the proper response for businesses if ICE were to come to the workplace seeking information or one of your employees and will provide a hypothetical scenario outlining the steps that should be taken in the event of an ICE raid in the workplace.
