She is a practicing labor and employment attorney, with over 25 years of hands-on labor and employment experience. She founded the Ali Law Group in 2011 and launched HRtelligence in 2023.
Sima earned her B.S. from Cornell University, NY School of Industrial and Labor Relations and her J.D. from George Washington University School of Law and she has received numerous awards for her business acumen, leadership and legal experience including the Long Island Business News Leadership in Law Award and the Top 50 Women in Business Award.
Karen specializes in developing and presenting labor and employment content aimed at providing practical guidance for employers. As a practicing labor and employment attorney and counselor, she has a vast working knowledge and in-depth experience in ensuring that employers are in compliance with the most current laws and counsels employers on various federal, state and local legal issues. She draws from this background to develop sharp, up-to-date content for HRtelligence.
Karen received a B.A. from New York University and a J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law. Prior to joining Ali Law Group, she was a Deputy County Attorney for Nassau County, representing local government and its officials in employment and civil rights claims in Federal and State court.
Kerri is responsible for the research and planning behind the labor and employment topics and issues covered by HRtelligence. She is a practicing attorney with invaluable skills and a strong base of knowledge in many areas of law gained both serving clients and during her previous experiences as an intern for a Federal District Court Judge and as an editor of the Law Review during law school.
Kerri received her B.A. from the State University of New York, University at Albany and her J.D. from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center.
Kerith ensures the content is as relevant, readable and relatable as it is legally sound. She selects daily features from among the many topics developed each month and coordinates with the internal team and external designers and website developers that create and maintain HRtelligence.
She has served in multiple editorial roles providing content production across multiple platforms, including Woman’s Day magazine, Lifetime Television, R/GA Interactive, Parents.com, and helping small businesses with the full range of their product development and copy needs.
Kerith holds a B.A. summa cum laude from Dartmouth College, where she was also elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She earned an MA from New York University.
