Legal Compliance and
Risk Mitigation

As labor and employment counselors, our goal is to mitigate the risk of litigation for our clients using our specialized area of knowledge and expertise in the labor and employment law field.  To accomplish this goal, we engage in the process of continual risk assessment and evaluation and provide updated guidance and recommendations to clients to ensure compliance with all applicable (federal, state and local) labor and employment laws.

Compliance Audits

Risk Assessment and Evaluation

The Ali Law Group conducts Labor and Employment Compliance Audits to understand our client’s labor and employment law and HR functions.  ALG’s compliance audits involve in-depth research, fact-finding and the production of a report to determine whether the company is in compliance with applicable labor and employment laws and to assess the company’s risk of potential litigation. The audit will include:

  • In-depth fact finding interview
  • Questions and answers regarding all facets of Human Resources practices and compliance with Labor and Employment Laws
  • Review, obtain and catalog all relevant agreements, policies, procedures and forms for future reference
  • Final report issued to client with opinions and recommendations about handbooks, policies and procedures and other human resources related documentation that will mitigate risk of litigation and ensure compliance

Handbooks, Policies and Procedures

Handbooks, policies and procedures are the basic foundation for compliance and are a compilation of a company’s workplace policies and procedures. Handbooks are also documents that reflect the current state of the law and should be kept up-to-date. In order to ensure a handbook complies with current laws and regulations, the Ali Law Group’s expert advisors will conduct interviews, review company documentation and explain relevant policy issues, changes and modifications.

The Ali Law Group can also help draft and/or review specific policies and procedures as needed including social media, distracted driving, attendance, leaves and other workplace policies.
